First Baseball Game

When was the first baseball game enacted? Probably on the sands of Egypt when the Pharaohs ruled it. However going off into the distant past one comes upon a time when there was actually no language. The first baseball game ever played was like nothing you see today. It was so crude, barbaric and primitive that it resembled a two year old throwing spoonfuls of his pea soup onto the wall.

The first baseball game ever was simply what man was capable of then. Rather to be true to life, he was not man then. Humanoid or subhuman is more like it. There are light years of difference between that prototype of man and the modern man you find at present. So the game then is not what it is now. Even if the rules and tools of the game could be transferred to that era in the past it would still not matter for the cavemen would be too dumb to handle modern baseball.

So with regard to the first baseball game ever played we have only a vague idea about how it went. Even fossils and dug-up evidence is scant. The more you go into the depth of the past the more are the surprises (or shocks) you are liable to receive. Maybe it is not such a good idea to go digging too deep for one might come upon something one doesn’t want to see. Like an alien race who gave our prehistoric ancestors a clue or two about the game of baseball. But that is a discussion for another time and place.

The first baseball game recorded was in the sandy areas surrounding the pyramids. The pharaoh’s slaves must have amused themselves by marking out lines in the wet sand and playing a game of original baseball with a rudimentary stick and small ball. It was a form of light entertainment in the one or two hours of free time they got between the grueling work hours. They felt relaxed catching and hitting the ball.

That was then. The worlds first baseball game came about through trial and error.

This is now. Today we ask questions such as when was the first televised baseball game or when was the 1st official baseball game. It shows how organized and institutionalized the baseball game has become today. The first organized baseball game was played the moment two people found a bat and a baseball and a large open field to play in. That’s the simple answer to the modernistic evolution of the game.

The first professional baseball game played between blacks took place in the 1920s. This was a momentous occasion by the standards of those days of yore. But today it all seems so weird to differentiate between blacks and whites.

So coming back to the main topic, the first professional baseball game began with the laying down of the rules and the arrival of appropriate equipment which could be employed to good use. From there onwards it was simply a matter of time before the world started paying attention to this game.
